Lake Windermere is a stunning lake that is the largest natural lake in England. There are small towns and villages all around the lake. The wonderful Victorian design of the pathways and gardens will take you back in time when you are enjoying the wonderful scents and colors that delight the senses.

Beatrix Potter spent summers during her childhood in Windermere. When wandering through the countryside to her home on Hilltop, you can easily see where her inspiration was derived for her wonderful books and stories. Her gardens and home reflect the whimsy and love that she had for Windermere and its surroundings.
