Tip Number 1
Set Up A Myspace Account & Imeem
As a music producer or artist myspace is one of the most essential social networking tools that is avaliable for free and if your music is great you would have the entire world coming to your page every single day. Building a Net fanbase is vital in the music biz now due to the Internet downloading of mp3's.
More people have a tendency to buy mp3's over CD's so your digital fanbase is as important as your physical.
Imeem is also pretty important because it will boost your songs on the apex of google, so if a fan types in your name you are pretty much sure to have all of your songs avaliable for listening.
Tip Number 2
Get Some Photographs Taken
They do not have to be perfect, but people do like to see what the artist / producer looks like. Don't hind behind a symbol and if your not prepared to yet, simply make sure you do when you are! ESSENTIAL!!
Tip Number 3
Be Different
at the moment, I'm sure since you have started producing music.. A few of your buddies have or vice versa. Be different from them, learn how to build your own style by doing different things. Try hard not to just copy what your buddies are doing as it sounds excellent, set the trend. If you can run with the trend and shine from it, why not.. But still be different.
