I Want to Lose My Belly! 3 Fattening Foods to Stay Far Away From

I'm trying to lose this flabby fat around my belly. What can I do to get rid of it quickly?

1) Avoid boxed snacks. These snacks suck. Yes, sometimes they are marketed as fat free and healthy, but they're far from healthy and although they may be fat free, who cares- it's not gonna make a lick of difference in your weight loss endeavors. They will in fact hinder you due to the ease in which you can eat these things- adding up to a boatload of calories. These snacks can also cause insulin levels to skyrocket, making you hungrier and turning your fat-storing mechanisms on. They also decrease satiety, causing you to eat more to feel as full.

2) Avoid trans- fats. Trans-fats are the "Super fats" of the food industry. In the '50s, chemists went into the lab and fiddled with the chemical structure of unsaturated fats/oils in search of an oil that would last longer on the shelf, which in turn would boost profits immensely. All the cookies, cheezy poofs, and potato chips on the shelves have trans-fats in them to make them last for months and months on the shelves of your local Kwikie Mart. Trans fats are a no- go for countless health reasons, not to mention they're "Super Fattening"

3) Avoid eating high carb/ high fat foods - Foods such as fettuccine Alfredo or donuts stimulate large insulin spikes, virtually guaranteeing fat storage where you least like it. Another reason you want to keep an eye on your carbs intake is the vicious bingeing cycle it sets off if eaten at the wrong time in the wrong combination with other foods. Frequent meals of starchy carbs will not only shut off fat burning, but once the body has filled its stores of glycogen in the muscles and liver (your body's gas tank), the remaining calories get stored as body fat!
